🇬🇧 Carpet of Flowers already evokes a quiet, hidden world: dark water, floating leaves, blooming flowers, and the feeling of a pond discovered somewhere deep in the forest.
For this alteration, I wanted to let that world grow beyond the original composition. The pond becomes richer and more immersive, with water lilies spreading across the surface, flowers rising from the water, and small creatures inhabiting the scene. A little frog watches from the vegetation, while dragonflies move lightly above the pond.
Rather than replacing the feeling of the original illustration, I wanted to extend it, imagining what might exist just beyond the edges of the card.
This alter was hand-painted by me directly on an EX authentic Magic: The Gathering card using high-quality acrylic paint and ink. Some details are accented with silver and gold metallic paint. It is an original, one-of-a-kind artwork and my own artistic interpretation of the card.
Every alteration I create is painted individually, making each piece unique.

🇫🇷 Carpet of Flowers évoque déjà un petit monde à part : une étendue d’eau sombre, couverte de feuilles flottantes et de fleurs, comme un bassin caché au cœur de la forêt.
Pour cette altération, j’ai voulu laisser ce monde se prolonger au-delà de l’illustration originale. Les nénuphars s’étendent sur l’eau, les fleurs émergent de la végétation, tandis qu’une petite grenouille se dissimule dans le décor et que des libellules traversent la surface du bassin.
Plutôt que de remplacer l’atmosphère de l’illustration originale, j’ai voulu l’étendre, en imaginant ce qui pouvait exister juste au-delà des limites de la carte.
Cette alter a été peinte à la main directement sur une carte authentique de Magic: The Gathering, avec de la peinture acrylique de haute qualité et de l’encre. Quelques détails sont rehaussés de peinture métallisée argentée et dorée. Il s’agit d’une œuvre originale et unique, issue de ma propre interprétation artistique de la carte.
Chaque altération étant peinte individuellement à la main, chaque pièce est une œuvre unique.
