About
My name is Céline Combes, and I am a full-time professional artist from France (Pessac). I discovered card modification through my husband, who occasionally plays Magic, and I immediately fell in love with the visuals and the creative process of alteration.
I work from my own sketches and paint with acrylics. I particularly enjoy landscapes, creatures, and transforming old-school cards, bringing new artistic life to the images that nostalgic players have cherished for so many years. My approach focuses on colour, atmosphere, and storytelling, turning each altered card into a unique miniature artwork.
A few personal notes
I paint every day in my small studio in France, often with my cat Meggy curled up beside me while I work. I practiced taiji and qigong for many years, and now I enjoy yin yoga and quiet walks that help me stay inspired and balanced. I also studied fine arts and applied arts, which continue to shape my approach to colour and composition.
